About Helen Adams Design
PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Helen’s love for interior design started at a very young age when she designed, built and decorated a three storey Barbie house out of cardboard apple boxes complete with a functioning elevator. Fast forward to Helen moving to Vancouver where she studied in the field of Interior Design and Visual Presentation, earning her diploma before launching directly into the industry. During her studies, she was hired by two major retail outlets to design and install large-scale holiday displays, showcasing her eye for detail and creativity. In her final year of her studies, Helen completed an internship with a prominent design firm and was offered a full-time position immediately upon graduation. Over the years Helen worked for two design-build companies honing her skills, learning the ins and outs of construction, contributing to both large and small scale renovations and picking up a couple of industry awards along the way.
When Helen isn’t working, she is often scouring used furniture listings for that special piece that can be refinished and repurposed. When not immersed in a diy project, she’s out on long walks taking in Vancouver’s scenic pockets ideally stumbling across a charming home decor store in her travels.

Our e-design services are the perfect fit. You provide the dimensions of the room(s) along with photographs of the existing spaces and we’ll put together a customized design plan, complete with layout ideas, renderings, paint and finish selections, curated furnishings, and styling guidance. It’s an easy, accessible way to reimagine your space and achieve a beautiful, updated look at your own pace.

Initial Consultation

Design Fee Proposal
This is where the ideas start to take shape. You’ll see layout options, mood boards and refined drawings that map out cabinetry, millwork, lighting, and electrical details. Realistic 3D visuals let you preview the space before anything is built giving you peace of mind that the design is exactly what you want.
Design Package
Included in your design package is the specification document listing every finish, fixture, and material selected for your project. It keeps everyone - homeowners, contractors, and trades, on the same page, ensuring accuracy and avoiding costly surprises.
Specifications
As construction gets underway, we stay involved behind the scenes and on-site. checking in at important stages to review progress, clarify design details, and support the trades. These visits help keep the project aligned with the vision, minimizing surprises and ensuring your new space comes together exactly as intended.
